The Social Impact and Development Communication Centre, affectionately known as SIDC, is a dynamic nonprofit organization that is passionately committed to empowering and uplifting other nonprofits with the essential and critical communication skills necessary to drive transformation and progress in their respective communities.
Our raison d'être is to augment the capacity of individuals, organizations, and communities to effectively articulate their experiences and perspectives on matters of social change. We do this by promoting knowledge sharing among our various groups and by providing world-class training for public relations practitioners throughout Africa via a co-learning, non-formal, and sustainable approach.
At SIDC, we envision a world where the voices of communities are not only heard but also included in decision-making on the global stage. We work closely with communities worldwide, employing cutting-edge communication, new media, and technology strategies for social change and development. Our focus areas include non-profit capacity development, technology adoption, advocacy, and public engagement, which we tackle through our carefully crafted capacity development and training initiatives.
