About the Role
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
Deploy globally for periods of 1 to 3 months of emergency response with a focus on advocacy and communications
Lead on emergency advocacy and communications deliverables for a specific emergency context
Ensure that high quality, safe, principled, consultative and engaging communications products across different platforms and mediums
Lead on the development of a communications plan and advocacy strategy to align with the emergency response plan linked to DRC priorities and wider humanitarian policies, conventions, principles and forums
Build capacity of and increase engagement with colleagues and partners to elevate the communications and advocacy deliverables as well as some external engagement
Contribute to the development and implementation of DRC’s Emergency Advocacy and Communications procedures and guidelines as well as the global and regional strategies and goals
